Nov 29th 6pm BLS For Healthcare Providers - Traditional Classroom Course - American Heart Association w/Amanda

Nov 29th 6pm BLS For Healthcare Providers - Traditional Classroom Course - American Heart Association w/Amanda
This is a traditional classroom course.  It is the course you'll need to take whether you are new or renewing.  All parts of the course are done at our location, you walk out with a BLS card upon passing the written & skills evaluation.  In most cases, BLS is the required CPR Certification for Healthcare Facilities, Clinics, Hospitals, Nursing Schools, Medical Residencies and EMT Schools.  Generally intended for physicians, nurses (RN, LPN), CNA, rad. techs, nursing & med students, dentists, pharmacists, anyone needing certification for Hospital Jobs. If you are an employee of Metro Health, Mercy Health Saint Mary's, Spectrum Health or any healthcare/homecare agency and have missed your in house training you are welcome to attend the class.  Also, Grand Valley State, Ferris State, Western Michigan, Michigan State University, Hope, Calvin, Grand Rapids Community College and other students are also welcome to attend as this is required for clinical rotations.  If your job asked for a " First Aid, CPR (Infant, Child, Adult) & AED card," this is NOT it!  You'll need to click here and find a class with that title on our schedule.  If you are not sure which card you are required to get for your job, please contact your boss so we can get you into the right class! Ask your boss if this is the card you need.  Cards are good for 2 years from the time they are issued. Plan on setting aside 4 hours for this class.  Sometimes it's less.  Because we have enough equipment to go around & people don't need to share manikins, and because we run small classes we are able to accomplish in a short amount of time what other places take a ton of time to do.  If you can't spend that much time in the classroom you may want to click here to check out our "Blended Individualized (Fast) Class Option.   Quote from the American Heart Association: "Each student must have his or her own current and appropriate manual or workbook readily available for use before, during and after the course."   If you require a book, here is a link to get one instantly: eBook If you forget yours at home we can let you use one. FAQs:   Q: Are there ID requirements or an age limit? A: Minimum age to attend CPR class is 12.  Just bring your printouts that we send you, no other ID needed. Q: What are my transport/parking options? A: Tons of free parking in out lot.  We are also on the Rapid Line with a stop outside our office (check the Rapid info for: 44th at 2186 44th (#746)). Q: What can/can't I bring to the event? A: Please don't bring your children, but pretty much anything else is ok...yes, you can bring food & drink (as long as you share....just kidding). Q: Can I contact someone if I have any questions? A: Sure.  My name is Jeff.  My phone number is 616-947-1007 and my e-mail is jeff@grhealthcare.net Q: Is my registration transferable? A: Sure.  I understand that life happens.  I'll make sure we transfer you into another class or get you rescheduled if you have any issues.  Just let me know as soon as you can. Q: Can I update my registration information? A: Yes. Q: Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? A: Yes. Q: What is the refund policy? A: We are required to purchase items for every person who attends our classes, so there are no refunds, but you can transfer or reschedule...no hassles.  Legal stuff:  The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and has developed instructional materials for this purpose.  Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association, and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the Association
