His subsequent training in Steadicam operation under Garret Brown, the academy award winner provided him the opportunity to work with some of the top productions. Rajiv Menon with two decades of experience in making commercials has won numerous awards. He has also worked on a few important documentary projects with personalities like Shyam Benegal and Girish Karnard. While Rajiv Menon worked on a few documentaries, He gained national recognition for shooting Mani Ratnam's 'Bombay' and is continued to be associated with him through 'Guru' and 'Kadal'. Rajiv Menon made his directorial debut in feature filmmaking, Minsara Kanavu for AVM Studios. He is equally interested in giving back to the industry a range of talents it needs to constantly renew itself. Gnanasekaran DeanM.N. Gnanasekaran began his career in the film industry when he graduated in cinematography from the Film and Television Institution. His very first feature film, AvalAppadithaan, won the state award. On completing more films, he became the much-respected teacher at his alma mater. Cinematographers like Rajiv Menon and Alphonse Roy learned fundamentals of their craft under his guidance and continue to value his methods and insights. He has taken charge as the Dean of Mindscreen Film Institute.Gnanasekaran is highly knowledgeable in the difficult field of cinematography theory and the various technical aspects associated with it. In terms of challenging practice, he has six feature films, several documentaries, and two decades of sustained work in professional scientific photography, to his credit. R. Sritharan Principal R. Sritharan, a first class diploma holder in Cinematography from Institute of Film Technology, served as a cameraman at Doordarshan for more than six years before joining as a Faculty at Film and Television Institute. He has extensive experience in various disciplines of filmmaking and television production. He had been a visiting faculty for the Universities in TamilNadu and contributed in designing course curriculum for Media.
