Lovecraft eZine issue 30 (Volume 30)

Lovecraft eZine issue 30 (Volume 30)

Lovecraft eZine issue 30 (Volume 30)

Mike Davis asked me to guest edit a King in Yellow issue of The Lovecraft eZine and I was quick to say yes. For various reasons, there were many I did not get the chance to invite to A Season in Carcosa, so I looked at my old list and asked who might like to book a room in the Tower of Gloom. Everyone said they'd love to come to Carcosa for a season, but sadly life got in the way for some and they could not come and play. Happily the others braved greyness and rain and walked, carrying their strange imaginations, across the cloudwaves. It is with great pleasure that The Lovecraft eZine (and your humble editor) presents these tributes to the dark imagination of weird fiction master, Robert W. Chambers. I hope you enjoy these glimpses into the dim and lonely places of Carcosa. Joseph S. Pulver, Sr.

art, poetry, and prose worthy of the subject, June 3, 2014

The writing in this is superb, especially the one-two punch coming from back-to-back stories by Tom Lynch and Michael Griffin. What surprised me about this issue was the art. This is the first book I’ve felt compelled to transfer to the iPad in order to look at it in color. I’m blown away by the sum product. Having already bought it in e-book, I’m considering getting a print copy just to have it on the shelf.

The King in Yellow issue of Lovecraft eZine is a celebration of Robert W. Chambers' original collection and delivers some great takes on the mythos that Chambers created. An excellent issue that I would highly recommend.

A long forgotten weird tales book is the King in Yellow. The HBO series "True Detective" helping bring this back to the public eye. The Lovecraft Ezine champions the work of HP Lovecraft and gives many of today's writers a chance to keep the style fresh. This issue features works inspired by The Yellow King
