 Seriously in need of a qualified editor..., August 15, 2014

Not bad for light, summer, trashy reading.
But one serious error, that makes me wonder if an editor was involved at all. The author has made use of the country "Columbia" more than once. Well, sorry to tell you, but that's not a country. The country is spelled Colombia and if you're going to pick out a South American country because of it's outdated reputation, at least spell it correctly.
Murder mysteries are all in the details, and when such a glaring error is made, it makes you question the quality of those details.

I have a hard time going above 3 stars on these books. I do not like all the sex part but the police work is entertaining. A lot of the people are very funny and it is an easy read. I like Kate and Charlie and of course Bernie the dog.
This one has a lot of twist and turns and every time I think Kate is going to find out something the person either kills themselves or gets shot. There is a very surprise ending. Also there is trouble in love land with Jack and Mack. I know who I would pick but don't know if Kate will ever pick one.
All in all not a bad read but not really a good one. The side characters of Natalie and Mo add some in the way of comedy relief but that's about all. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you?

This is a great series. M.Z. Kelly has am amazing way with words. Each book is better than the last and that's saying something since the first book was terrific. The series has everything you could want in a book: the colorful cast if characters keeps you laughing, the plot with all its twists & turns keeps you on the edge of your seat, and poor Kate with all her personal drama pulls at your heart strings.
